In Tokyo Toy Show 2009 (Jul.16-19 2009), BANDAI made an announcement of 1/144 Apollo 11 and SaturnV Launch Vehicle Scale Model. And in Comic-Con 2009(Jul.23-26 2009), it was made initial appearance in the US. BANDAI was making "CYOGOKIN" series Super Robot Animation character toys that was made by die-cast for a long time. And now, "OTONA NO CYOGOKIN", Fine scale model series for Adults is started. Apollo 11 and SaturnV Launch Vehicle was selected for it's first item.
These photos are 1st prototype and now undergoing a lot of changes.
And Oct.20,2009, price and release date were determined in Press releace officially by BANDAI. This prototype model is now displaying at 4th floor of Marunouchi OAZO Shopping building in front of Tokyo station.
ApolloManiacs is working for supervise this project.
Now the modeling of Libs between Aft Interstage,S-IC,S-II are wrong (Photo right). These will be collect with final product.


What is "OTONA NO CYOGOKIN"
"CYOGOKIN" means "Super alloyed metal" in Japanese. BANDAI used this word for brand name of Super Robot Animation character toy series made by die-cast. And "OTONA" means "adult" in Japanese. "OTONA NO CYOGOKIN" is a hobby itmes made by "CYOGOKIN" and "DREAMS", that evokes the objects given us emotion, fanaticism, nostalgia, excitement, in history.
